Why have I started this website?

Partly thanks to my partner (who has pushed me to give amazing welfare to all the animals I own), I have now also adopted the mindset that if we are keeping animals in captivity don't we at least owe them as nice a life that we can possibly give. It definitely isn't the cheapest option and if you are getting large pets it will be progressively more difficult to achieve but then should you really be getting them? I hope to keep all my animals so well that I can look at them and think that there is a good chance they don't even know they are in captivity. This has meant I mainly specialise in small amazing animals but all are kept in very large planted tanks with UV, LED's, and the appropriate heat.

One of the tanks I think shows this best is my 90x45x45 exo terra which houses my breeding pair of Dendrobates tinctorius "azureus". It has UV shadedweller, Jungle dawn LED's, and all the plants currently used in their are now South American for the appropriate theming. And after looking at in situ photos I have added lots of branching as this seems to make up the majority of their natural habitat.
